Colours of Autumn/Nature Notes

 Highbush cranberries

The trees in East Grillimbury are still mostly green, although a few have contrasting reds, oranges and yellows. Wildflowers and berries are still the showstoppers.

Wild asters, not sure which kind

An overcast day dulls the colours...but not by much

I love the berries and beginning of autumn. When I looked online, I found out the common name for these are fairy asters. I have them in my yard and also see them in the wild on trails I walk on. They are Aster vimineus. Of course I could be mistaken about the ones you shot being the same thing but they look the same.

I think I would prefer light overcast to bright sun. That just washes all the colour away...

Great photos! Unfortunately, we have to do some driving to see any good displays of leafs changing colors. It's worth it though!
