Grumpy Old Man (or woman)
I confess this is from my archives as I have not been out birding for a couple of weeks. My husband is home from the hospital, yes, but there are myriad jobs we need to accomplish before we can play (YUCK!)...
Get oil change for the car, purchase new cell phone, go to doctor's appointment, wait for home-care nurse to check in, be there for physio at home... it goes on and on! But my husband is HOME from hospital! That's the bright spot.
I AM smiling!!!
I am connecting to Stewart M's Wild Bird Wednesday HERE
Keep on smiling Camera Girl.
That's the spirit! :-)
Lol, excellent post EG! Yes life can get a bit complicated but the main thing is that he's home! :-)
Brilliant news that your hubby is home.
I just love Grumpy Old Bird's demeanour... says it all.
Chin up and have a good week :D)
LOL...that last caption, I'm glad to see it 'smile'.
Just remember to breathe and take a time out now and then with your busy days.
Love the great blue heron...they always remind me of a lawn ornament when they barely move.
PS......actually we have 5 doves...the ground dove and the eurasian collared dove are also in the area, but very very scarce.
That is the good news the birds will keep flying and sitting waiting for you to capture them at their best like always. It is going to get easier. Yeah he is home. Hug B
Good that he is home.
A splendid bird!
he really does look very grumpy. maybe the fish were not biting.. LOL and you do have a lot to do, but that has to be better than visits to the hospital. so glad he is home with you...
Keep smiling, things could be a lot worse. The birds will still be there when you are ready to go back to watching them.
I love thr blue heron. He or she is still a beautiful bird despite its age.
i am SO glad - for both of you!
and i love when the herons or egrets look so curmudgeonly. :)

I'm so glad he's home. You take it easy, too.
Hubby goes in for a procedure TH, and a new treatment plan, maybe an operation. It's terribly stressful, isn't it?

Marvellous shots of grumpy!
Great Grumpy! I am smiling right along with you about the hubby being home. Lots of work but he's come so far.
Even the bird looks like it has been run off its feet! Organizing all those home care things takes so much energy so I wish you luck.
Great photos. Hang in there. Things could always be worse. Just take on one thing at a time. Struggling with Blogger problems these last two days and trying to catch up.
Yes, he looks grumpy. I'm so happy your hubby is home again.
Lovely heron shots! Despite all the inconveniences, I'll bet you're glad to have your hubby home.
I'm so glad your husband is home again. That's the great news. With luck and persistence, surely you will both be out playing again soon.
Great pics of the bird (heron?) He does look a bit grumpy with his feathers sticking out.
And they say that birds don't have any emotions. I think you just proved them wrong ... especially with that little bit of a smile at the end. It is as if he knew you were smiling because your husband was finally home. Best to you both ... soon things will be back to normal.
