Old boxcar, York-Durham Heritage Railway
H is for HERITAGE and HARDWARE, railway hardware to be exact
Last Friday, as some of you already know, my husband and I visited the York-Durham Heritage Railway in Uxbridge where there are tons of rusty HARDWARE items to photograph.

I have snuck on to a old railroad yard before. Plenty of photos there.

This one looks remarkably old and well preserved! Excellent shots, EG!
I love finding hardware - anywhere!
I like them ALL and love the lock and the first one makes me think, that old boxcar could be turned into a tiny house to live in...

This is not a yard: it is a open-air museum!
Expert captures! A truly lovely view.
This could also be R is for rust!
I find such photos of great interest...maybe because they remind me of my childhood which was filled with such artifacts.
Old wooden boxcar, old rusty hardware, they are ancient and were hard working. I am glad they are in some kind of outdoor museum and will not be destroyed, that would be a shame! Thanks for the trip here, it is awesome! Old iron horses put to rest, kind of sad really.
Old rusty locks make very interesting photo subjects!
All those rusty bits are like evolving artwork. Fascinating.

Beautiful old hardware and great shots! I doubt you can find much metalwork of this quality anymore, certainly not easily in the U.S. (DH is having a dickens of a time finding brass fittings for the little boat he's building.)
Neat photos of that old wood and rust!
Beautiful wood grain and rust! Love that rust!
I love it.
"H" is for Hobo, the guy who rides in your lovely old box car and looks out that little window, it's just for him.

What a treasure trove of old hardware. I wonder how much of it would work, or could be brought back to life - thinking of the sliders for the doors. Imagine the work, long ago, to keep it all working,
