Exploring Central Ontario (CANADA)...and beyond
It is gorgeous! Lovely image! Happy Friday, have a great weekend!
i would love to visit a swamp, it has been years since i was in one.
Ah, I do love these!! Wonderful capture for the day as always!! Hope you have a beautiful weekend!!
Very pretty indeed.
Love the flower and the background!
This is such a gorgeous shot. I love the beauty of these and have a shot i took as wallpaper on my computer.
Beautiful flower and photo!
So pretty. What a great blue that is.
Very similar to the swamp and marsh iris that grow in the Southern U.S. Our are called Louisiana Iris but they're quite similar to this. Do the ones you have pictured get very, very tall? The ones here do. They will also grow in standing water and many people have them in garden ponds. I love all varieties of iris and will be sad to leave my mother's here when I leave.
I saw some yesterday at a park in the city! They are so beautiful, EG!
brilliant capture! love the colors
Aren't they magnificent....some of mine are blooming!
What a stunning image to take with me into the weekend.
Lovely photo !!!
Beautiful. Hug B
Gorgeous iris! They always make me think of my grandfather - he would bring cuttings of his iris from New Mexico to my parents' house here in California and plant them. Some of them are still growing in my mom's garden.
Such a delicate and lovely flower, and you have captured it beautifully.
They are out in all splendor here today too. Long live PURPLE and blue. Really like yesterday's dizzy window reflection.
They are beautiful flowers.
Oh yeah! As you know, I'm ALL about irises. :-)
What a great shot. The flower looks so stately and beautiful.
Wonderful shot indeed!
That colour! Just beautiful.
Pretty. I tried one the other day, but it wasn't sharp. Maybe I'll try again.
*Applause!*ALOHA from Honolulu, ComfortSpiral =^..^=
It is so beautiful....if I were to tell you when I visited my daughter in California that we were at a place that these were taller than me, would you believe me? And maybe they grow that tall where you are...I don't know why I didn't have them take a picture.I could hardly believe it and I was seeing them!
I wonder if that's what I saw down a ravine the other day...they are so beautiful, I love the deep indigo French Ultramarine blue tones...Jen
So delicate, love it!
So lovely! They're popping up around my place as well!
Beautiful photo. They aren't blooming here yet.
Wonderful color composition in this. Lovely pic.
oooooo goodness, what a gorgeous color!!!!
I have been looking and looking on line trying to find a picture of the irises/flags at the El Dorado Park in Long Beach, CA...not having any luck. Found one that has them to the side, but doesn't show anything to compare them to.
