Door 28 - Streets Alive!

 Door #28 facing sidewalk

A while back I posted Door #?  HERE  celebrating Streets Alive! Downtown Doors in Orillia, but I had to go back to take photos since so many of you wanted to see more of the doors.  (FYI: I don't know the number of the first door I showed you as I never took a photo of the plaque at the base of the door.) Hmmm.

Although this door is #28, I won't be posting all of them and I won't be posting them in sequence.  But I do promise to show you more!

Close up

The first time I took photos of the doors, the day was overcast and very nice for taking photos...except for the rain and the crowds. The second day was sunny with no crowds, but sometimes the light was very harsh creating glare and shadows.

Side facing street

This door was painted by Orillia artist/photographer Susan McTavish.

What an event. You are a very accommodating blogger going back and taking pictures based on requests.

I like this celebration Streets Alive. Very creative celebration. I love the door, you took wonderful pictures of it.

The artist is very talented. We celebrate summer in our small down town with different horses made by different artists.

Now THAT is a door. Gorgeous. I hear you about the tricky dilemma with sun/rain/crowd/solitude. So many people never consider that trying to photograph something with the sun in full force would be a problem and quickly get frustrated with when you have to take and re-take an image to account for the glare.

I like this. Kind of art nouveauish.

Thanks for going back! This one is very pretty. I do like doors with arches and I agree with Jack. Sort of Art Nouveau.

Those are fancy doors!

I missed the creation of this theme. I assume that these are not "real doors" but instead works of art scattered around your fair city?

This is absolutely wonderful!

Yes, the light and shadow somehow interrupt the view from street facing. But over all very beautiful paintwork and I also like the design of the door
