Exploring Central Ontario (CANADA)...and beyond
You are right. It does. Great captures especially the close ups.

The Blue Heron is one spectacular creature. He should look prehistoric. Scientist say they decedents of the dinosaurs.
Awesome shots of the GB heron, they are beautiful. I love to watch them fishing. Have a happy day!
Rather small pickings, I'd say. :-)
There's one at the pond near here, I often disturb him (or her, or possibly them) when I go for my walk.
You got wonderful close up images, I love this gracious bird so much! Last Sunday I saw 5 herons near my place. They were on a field among some cows and for me was a surprise because generally I see only one heron, I mean alone always.Lovely post, thanks for sharing. Leia
Good wings-up shot.
Wonderful shots of the heron. Yes, it does look prehistoric.Darla
Wow! Your heron shots are incredible EG. Love all the sharp detail showing its feathers.
herons are awesome looking birds
Definitely a touch of the prehistoric EG :) excellent captures.
Wings up, he or she looks quite majestic!
An impressive bird and an excellent series of images!
These are amazing shots!
Stunning shots, Tina! You are right, that first one does look prehistoric.
Great job! I don't know about prehistoric but that first shot is hysterical! Re your comment on Ocala: An 81-year old man was killed the other day on the golf course I usually play on Sundays. It started raining and because he couldn't see very well he drove his cart into a sand trap which caused it to roll over and crush him. Very sad.
Awesome captures, as always, Tina!! I do love the first one!! It does indeed look prehistoric!! You do find the best ones and I'm so glad you share them with us!! Hope your week is off to a great start!! Enjoy!!
So spectacular, really lovely!
These are all fantastic shots! What a gorgeous bird.
Wow - what a fabulous shot that first one is, EG!
The wings up shot is spectacular!
No, it's not just you. They are prehistoric!!! They are today's version of the Pteryadactl:)
Wonderful shot with those wings up! And yes, I agree you can see the pre-historic origins - maybe he likes to pretend he's a velociraptor.
Great close-up photos. The bird looks amazing!
I've heard that birds are closest to dinosaurs than any other creature (haven't I heard that?) That first photo is a piece of art. At first I thought it might be a beautiful figurine!
I agree that this bird has that pre-historic look.Lovely shots that you got.
Nice photos! So sharp and detailed.
Wow! Looks like something out of a movie - Jurassic Park 25?
Yes, I have always beheld the dinosaur too!ALOHA ComfortSpiral
