Sailboats Sculpture

 I have seen this sculpture next to the harbour in Rochester, New York many times,  but the day I took these photos I was struck by the beautiful sunlight on the sailboats' sails.

Rochester -  on the south side of Lake Ontario - was once an important port for commercial traffic.  Now in summer it's a busy playground for smaller boats.

Isn't it amazing how different the sculpture looks from the opposite side of the harbour?

Winter Birds

Birds out & about in early February

True there are no flowers in my Ontario gardens right now but,  I have bird feeders so there are tons of birds.

Largest square: female Northern Cardinal.

Moving clockwise: White-breasted Nuthatch, Mourning Dove, male Northern Cardinal, Tree Sparrow, and Dark-eyed junco
