Ice in the mist/ Nature Notes

Weeds and grass coated with ice

Some of the Trent-Severn Waterway near where I live is still not frozen, but a few days ago grass and weeds near the dam in Bolsover looked like fairies had painted them with glass.

Mist at the dam in Bolsover

Truth is - and I know you'll find this very hard to believe - it's not the work of fairies.  Some of the mist coming off the water as it falls to the level below is mist carried by the wind to land on the very cold weeds where it freezes.

Magical photo's. I don't believe you about the fairies, I'm just SURE they are responsible for the ice and mist.

That first picture is so beautiful that I refuse to believe the scene wasn't created by fairies.

It always looks so much colder until the water freezes! Good shots.

My vote is for fairies anyway. I love the way the fairies paint nature.

Personally, I think it's fairies. There is always someone like you trying to say it is something else, but I think it's fairies.
