Blue Heron/ Camera Critters

Blue heron in the Holland Marsh Canal looking for dinner

A bit wary of me and my camera but too greedy to fly away, this heron has just finished eating a fish and is hunting for more.

That is a wonderful picture of a heron. I love the texture of the blades behind it, and I love the touch of fall. Beautiful as always! What kind of a camera do you have. I am looking into getting a new one, so I am really curious.
Anyway, I have an award for you but I couldn't find an email contact for you. I hope that its ok that I give it to you here.

Perfect timing. I guess Great Blues are everywhere. I love taking their picture because I think they don't want me too. Ha!! MB

BTW: We have whole bunches of Islands out here. In fact I have a booklet titled 'Islands to visit in Washington'. Some ferry boat ride, some with a bridge and some islands only by private boat. There are quite a few just from where I live. Easy accessability. All in salt water around here. MB

Let's hope this heron is a better fisherman than I, or he'll starve to death.
