Belwood Lake/ Watery Wednesday

Belwood Lake Conservation Area, Ontario

I took this photo late one afternoon in late October on the shore of Belwood Lake, created in 1942 when the Shand Dam was built. During the summer months, Belwood Lake is popular for swimming, water skiing, fishing and boating.

Perhaps it is because I just came in from letting Willie out this morning and the temp is below freezing, but looking at this shot I feel a cold wind blowing in off the water. Wonderful view!

You live in such a watery area. How nice that must be.

Wonderful shot. The fall color, the great clouds in the beautiful sky and of course the chilly looking water. Super. MB

Both my sons went to summer camp on Bellwood lake.... Camp Bellaleo, run by the Etobicoke Lions Club. They both had winderful summers there.

The lake sits in the landscape so naturally, it's hard to imagine it hasn't always been there.

Lovely blue waters, and a blue sky with white clouds to match it perfectly well.

Its good the the wildlife and also the people. A win, win situation.

I love the contrasts in this shot: the clouds and the sans on the back - the browns of the grasses and trees and the blues of the water. This is so pretty. Bet the water is pretty chilly!

Great photo.. I can't tell for sure but the shoreline doesn't look as rocky as a lot of Ontario Lakes
