At the moment there's still a farmer's field behind the civic centre where a housing development will eventually be built.

- EG CameraGirl
- East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city. My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.
Autumn skies are the best and you did a fantastic job capturing it!
Wonderful colors in the sky, beautiful images.
Looks like the apartment residents will have a beautiful view of the sky. Sad to see the field have to go though.
Nice! It was also nice to hear that a step behind the civic center one could walk on farmland, then I read about the housing development. Boo! But the same thing happens here. Come to think of it I guess I live in one of those developments. :-(
I'm glad you got these shots before the development starts. I keep thinking my part of town is finished but every now and then there will be yet another stand of trees bulldozed for yet another half empty building to put up.
Beautiful. Sunsets change so quickly from one beauty to another.
a beautiful scene, to bad they will ruin it with buildings. it gets harder and harder here to see a sight like this, beautiful fields and skies.
Lovely sunset captures and beautiful scene. Happy skywatching!
Awesome pictures and place!! :) People need houses, but.... this beautiful field and view will be destroyed..
It's sad I guess that our planet is beginning to get overcrowded, but we all deserve to have a home so we just have to make room for everybody.
I like this colors
Gorgeous skies and colors and superb captures as always! I, too, hate to see still more and more houses going up everywhere, but as Kathy wrote, we just have to make room for everyone. So, we have grab our shots while there is still some beautiful spaces left and you've done that today! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
You are getting some exceptionally lovely sky images!
I hate housing developments...
Two great shots. Beautiful colors.
Beautiful scenery and skies. Sad to see the farm land go.
Gorgeous skies...hope they are not building a highrise.
I have been noticing red skies just about every evening. I've been too lazy to go out and take photos. I'm glad you did because you got much better shots than I could have.
Wonderful views of sunset!Have a nice weekend and enjoy it!
You captured the sunset beautifully! The clouds are lit up with a fantastic light :)
Nice glow! :)
Love the touch of soft gold around the clouds - like gilt edging!
Nice captures of the glow in the november sky!
Wow! These are beautiful! The clouds in the second one look like they are on fire! Very pretty!
ooh, nice golden linings in those clouds. great shots EG. and will there ever finally be enough development? hope so. happy day to you EG.
I used to lament the quick changes of the sunset, but now I realize that this insanely fast change of scenes is perfect for taking a variety of dramatic images without leaving the same spot.
Great skies!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I hope these aren't the very last photos taken
I really like these specially the first one. MB
What a lovely breaking segments of light.
It may be progress, but I just hope the new construction will not obstruct the views!
Beautiful way to end a day!
oh another open space lost to housing.
I know I've said this before - you take the best sunsets. The clouds are always so interesting.
Wow, that sky is on fire! Beautiful.
great skies. I hope it will take a LONG time before they build there. :)
That's a beautiful sunset, nice shots.
Wow! The clouds are burning!
Fabulous sky out your way. It almost looks green in the second shot.

Such a lovely set, I love the intensity of the orange in the second shot.
These are beautiful photos of the sunset. It's a shame that such a glorious scene will soon be blocked by houses.
Magnificent sunset over the fields.
Progress? Lovely sky.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
Beautiful colors...our skies are finally getting pretty again.
I just love your skies!
Very grand views.
Terrific captures, fantastic cloud shots.
I love both shots but the second one in my favouite. I love the way the whole landscape has a red hue to it. Have a great week
How lovely and peaceful!
What a stunning sky to view--absolutely beautiful. Have a great weekend. Mickie :)

the future residents are lucky to have this view of the sunset. beautiful photos.
Hi there - the under glow on the clouds in that last picture is great. Very nice capture.
