Obedient Plant/Sunday Best

Obedient Plant (Physotegia)

One of the latest bloomers in my gardens and much appreciated this time of year when most plants are fading or have faded.

This is a pretty flower in the fall. Mine almost took over my garden last year. So I dug some up and planted in other places but it didn't do too well this year.
Great bokeh. I wish I could get that.

I had one of these a long time ago -- a white one -- and I always loved the orderly blooms. Lovely macro. :)

I love this capture! I recall repositioning the individual flowers on the stalk of an Obedience Plant, mesmerized with the task and the analogy I could use with my children. I love this little perennial!
