Nesting Warbler/Wild Bird

 Female yellow warbler (Dendroica petechia)

In my imagination I could hear this warbler saying "Ha ha! You can't see me." And then she flit to another spot to make sure she was correct.

 Below her nest

But I knew she wouldn't go far because  I had spied her nest.

Close up of nest

Do you see her in her nest?

I am joining Stewart M's Wild Bird Wednesday HERE

It's fun to try and figure out where a bird is nesting. It's even more fun to photograph it when you find it. Well done Camera Girl.

What an untidy nest for such a perfect little bird. It looks deep, though, so safe from many predators.

Great captures, especially of the warbler in her nest.

She really is well-camouflaged! The benefits of natural selection.

Re your comment on Ocala: As I understand it, regular pari mutuel wagering is not allowed in this area. So we cannot have a regular race track. The track is used for training and showings for sales throughout the year. :)

So nice to come and visit. I like your close ups and that you can tell me the name, so I learn to identify the birds.

I seem to find their nests only after the leaves fall in Illinois, though I tried to follow one that was carrying nest materials. Nice study!
