Black Squirrel

Photogenic, pesky black squirrel

Yes, they DO create a lot of damage but they are also fun to watch. For sure they cause less chaos than humans do, though.  Just sayin'.

I am linking to Madge's Weekly Top Shot.

Wise comments about humans vs. squirrels, but I still am not enamoured of them. Good photo.

How perfect for Chaos Never Ends Day!

We do not have squirrels where I live now. Maybe not enough of the right kind of trees? There are squirrels in the cemetery next door but in over ten years I have seen ONE on my property.

As you say, more fun to watch than to have.

Great portrait of a black squirrel. I have only seen one black squirrel and that was high up on a mountain in Colorado. I do enjoy watching them and you are so right about the human part.

I do not like squirrels always referring to them as tree rats, Had no idea there even was a black one! Great photo of him though.

I'd love to see the black ones--we only have the gray. I guess they do cause less chaos than humans. Good point! :) Super shot, EGC!

It is a rarity to see a black squirrel here, so this is a treat! He sure is a handsome fella.

We have more blacks than greys in our neighbourhood. I love squirrels, and have never had any damage as a result of them being in my yard.

I always wonder if animals 'think' about us...like we do them. I am sure that our Bubbie thinks...I can see the wheels spinning sometimes when he is looking for something to get into.

So I wonder just how much wild animals think/reason out things. Do they get aggravated at us chasing them with our cameras, or do they even realize we are.
