Rooftop Fence #2

Definitely not a widow's walk unless the widow is a Lilliputian

Not sure what this decorative fencing is for. Perhaps it to keep pigeons from falling off the roof?

Pure "gingerbread" is my guess. It's attractive, but I'm sure glad I don't have to maintain it. :-)

It's very well designed, even for pigeons too... health and safety wise!

Neat house!

To guard against Tom Cruise of course. The demented couch hopper is too short to get over those.

the house is wonderful... i am thinking back in the day, they wanted to use the popular ironwork and that ws the only place to add it..

I don't know what it's for, but it does look nice.

Those old houses are just so artfully built, it's all about the look for them. Love it!

It may not serve any purpose, but the fencing is pretty.

It reminds me of a doll house for some reason. It's a grand old place.

Gail Dixon said...

I guess it's just there for decoration. It does look like an area where birds could gather and have a party. :)

What a great old house! I love all the wood trim on it and the wrought iron fences. I guess they're just decorative.

The wrought iron trim is beautiful, even if it is only decorative.

Very ornate!

Whatever it's for it is just beautiful! Painting it after the weather has done it's damage wouldn't be very much fun though!
