Mural on a main street in Beaverton, Ontario
By now frequent visitors to this blog must be getting the idea trains are/were important to Canadians. Yep, you got that right.
On side of vintage building
This mural is placed on the side of an old building that now houses a pharmacy but I don't know if Ben commissioned this work or if the town did.
Right side of mural
I had to squeeze in behind the tall spruce to get this shot.

What's not to like about trains; I admire your dedication... squeezing between needle trees like that.
Great train murals. Very well drawn. Can imagine the olden days town coming back to life.
One of these days our paths will cross. I was there in Beaverton on Jan. 8 photographing the same mural.
Our minds were thinking Beaverton today. My post for today was taken a few clicks south of there.
I like it very much. Beautiful mural!
Hello, what a beautiful train mural. Wonderful collection of photos. Happy Monday, have a great new week ahead!
Oh me too, love this mural EG, your first shot is so cool, who doesn't love the old steam trains!
Superb capture and you got the details so well! Here too, trains are the second mode of travel people prefers the most next to buses/cars.
this mural is one of the best i have seen, it looks like the train is going to ride right out of the wall and into my room.. so 3d, super talent that painted this one
I like murals and I like trains so this rings all the bells for me.
You have some amazing murals in your area. Love them.
This is one very fine mural. I wish we could say the same thing about trains as you do, but it was decided here that it was more important for car and bus manufacturers to make money than for our people to have efficient and cheap means of transportation.
That first shot is sooo good. Looks like the train is going to drive right out of the wall!
Love this: full of things and full of life!
Great perspective and energy.
The engine especially has a very three dimensional feel to it.
Great mural!!! I am a train lover and if I have the time that's the only way I would travel!! Thank you, as always, for sharing your superb captures!! Hope you have a great new week!! Enjoy!!
GREAT...remember to keep on chugging
It's wonderful, EG! I wonder if you and Andy will recognize each other?
Fantastic mural. It's beautiful. I greet! :)
Awesome murals. They remind me of Trail , B.C.
I like trains too! ANd train murals. :)
Trains are fun, aren't they?! Hubby loves them. We have a senior's home being built right beside train tracks. Crazy! I'm posting about it later.

Love those old steamers.
Beautiful murals Camera Girl!
Nice mural. Hey, I live in Beaverton too. Beaverton, OREGON that is. :) Nice to see there's another Beaverton out there.
The first one looks so real!
Great train murals. All aboard!!!
By sheer coincidence, I just finished reading an essay about the creation of our first transcontinental railroad.
it's so amazing what you share!
I'm always impressed by the paintings so realistic!
Hi EG. Re your comment on Ocala: False advertising seems to be the name of the game these days. Anything goes to sell a product!
Wow that is a fantastic piece or work...
It is a great mural! So much detail.
You really convey a feeling that I think of as "Canadian" as does William from Ottawa Daily Photo, and dear Jenn near Perth Ontario. It's a complement.
Oh! Mustn't forget dear Pat from Toronto!!
This is just simply amazing! One of the best. That train just looks so real!
Trains are such an important part of North American heritage. They're almost forgotten in parts of the U.S.
Your engine looks like it's roaring toward us. Wonderful energy and perspective. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
every time I see something like this I wish I could paint. I admire the artists who can. :)
Beautifully detailed murals!
These murals are cool…and I love a train photo!
