Oh wonderful! I am not very lucky with insects. They tend to fly away when I'm still a long way from taking a picture!

The photography is stunning. The dragonfly itself, is quite amusing. Why would it be straddling the twig like that? Yee-haa! Ride-em cowboy!
An exquisite photo. But how do you know it is defending? Perhaps digesting, or meditating?
