Harbour at Jackson's Point, Ontario, on Lake Simcoe
Although the Canadian province of Ontario is not situated on the Atlantic or Pacific oceans, it is still a watery place. It has many lakes, rives, ponds, creeks, marshes.... In fact I live within easy drive of three of the Great Lakes (Ontario, Huron and Erie), each of which looks from the shore to be a fresh water sea.
Lake Simcoe, the lake I frequent most often, is a big lake - although it's not large enough to be one of the five Great Lakes. My camera finds it very photogenic so begs me often to go there.

I've spent quite a few sunny days on the shores of Lake Simcoe when I lived further north than where I live now. And Lake Simcoe is the first place I went out on the ice to look at ice fishing, I was terrified.
You guys have big water up there, though. More like seas! Beautiful shot.
I can see why it is a favorite spot to visit.

Those lakes up that way are HUGE, almost like oceans anyway. Super pic. In fact all your Lake Simco pics are special. MB
When your camera speaks, you must obey.
I can see why you would go to Lake Simcoe to take photos! It's beautiful!
Looking at the sky, at first I thought those were mountains in the background, but now think they're simply clouds...right?
Hope you have a great day!
I really like this scene from Lake Simcoe. If I lived up there I would go often as well.
Beautiful, Very Beautiful Scene!
I'm glad you follow your camera's lead to the lake. Your fans enjoy the results. Jackson's Point is lovely.

That looks like a beautiful place to spend time and I can see why your camera beckons you there. Wonderful shot.
if it weren't for the trees, sea and sky would appear to be one
Lake Simcoe may be big, but this sky is endless!
Beautiful photo, EG. I love hearing more about Lake Simcoe, since I've always heard about the other FIVE.

That's a lot of sky. I can see why your camera wants to go there.
I know what you're saying. There are some places that call to you to go and photograph them all the time.
What a fine image; so blue and summery.
That is a very nice picture.
Beautiful Lake Simcoe, where I spent many happy childhood days. Lovely photos.
I've never been to Lake Simcoe but I've been close. The clarity of the water in your lakes is much much better than in Ohio
Just great!!
Beautiful photo...so many shades of blue...looks like a beautiful lake, worth returning to
Such huge lakes and a wonderful scenery. Love the blue on blue.

Lake Simcoe is a beautiful spot for waterside photos. My uncle had a cottage there that we enjoyed many sunny summer afternoons.
Thanks for sharing this lovely view with us all in Sky Watch Friday.
I'll try to do a postcard exchange again, EG! It took some time and school starts in a few weeks... :)
So pretty - your sky looks as though it's mirroring the lake. I believe I see homes along its shores. I've skimmed earlier posts to see some of your other photos - all are WOW!
This is quite lovely. How wonderful that you live there, I can see why your camera is so fond of this area!

Lovely picture of water and sky.
Anyone seen Babooshka? Maybe she is in Jackson's Point!
This is such a lovely palate. Not much lightness on my tour so far, so I'm appreciating this sky!
what a wonderful photo, and how lucky for you to live in such a beautiful place!
My SWF
What a very sensible camera you have, must be of the same family as mine which all too often takes me by the hand to go out shooting.
