Angelic or Spooky Icicles

 Dripping off a copper roof

They look kind of spooky to me...but they can't be! After all the roof of an Oshawa church.  Cool. I like the shadows too.

Another group of icicles

Angelic, right? I don't think so either.

I am linking to Shadow Shot Sunday 2 HERE.

Their smile is too nice to be spooky.

Well, maybe a tad spooky, but otherworldly perhaps, too!! Whatever, I love them!! Perfect winter captures and shadows!!

The shadows of that first shot are awesome...the icicles are great, too.

You are right they do have a sort of spooky look to them. In shadow form not so spooky, it adds a artistic flair to it all! I'm so happy ours have all melted away!

The ones in the first photo look like long claws. Great pics. I've heard of many people and vehicles being hit by these icy claws as the weather warms up. They're dangerous!

Lovely shots but please don't stand too close!

Cool icicles! And the shadows are even better.

I had some coming from our roof that were totally horizontal - very weird!

They look just a little too menacing to me, church or no church!

The icicles seem spoky beacuse they look as if they are creeping down. Fascinating art.

The reaching icicles against the rigid geometry of the stone is sublime

The first ones look rather evil to me. I have seen these big heavy icicles take down the gutter and break it!

Those are some rather gothic looking icicles!

great shots of the ice but they look like they are about to fall off that roof.

We seem to have a lot of metal rooves around here. They all have this going on these days! Yay, spring!

I think icicles are very pretty. Nice shots. We didn't have any winter here this year. I think it will be as hot and dry as hades this summer because we had no snow. :(
