Your first photo has great rhythm with those red and white stripes and the white roof.

Interesting work on the photos and thanks for the links to memes ... I have not seen them before ... Glad to find them. Enjoyed your comment on State Nicknames. I agree, they are interesting for sure.

I love those striped shutters. How unusual to close off the upstairs windows and not the downstairs ones but maybe they choose to live only in the downstairs in the winter.

Creative use of stripes, have always loved shutters around windows.

That is odd! Do they close off the top floor for winter?

I have never seen shutters like this! And now I wonder why? They are so much more fun than the plain solid colors.

I've not seen anything like this one before. That third modification really takes off. I like that the pattern has become...unrecognizable.

Nice house picture, Ms. TG. Personally I would not like to have red trim on a nice plain white house.

Not everyone can get away with striped shutters. I wonder what the neighbors think?

Gorgeous view of the shutters in the first photo. So scenic. And some intriguing edits of the stripes.

That looks a bit like summer at the seaside to me even though it's red rather than the usual blue!

Those stripes really stand out!

If the trimming of the house were only blue instead of green, it could be patriotic.
