Precision Flying/ Odd Shot

These damselflies tickle my funny bone. ;-) There's plenty of grass to sit on in this creek, but these guys are sitting on the same blade. Each one flies off to catch it's prey, then returns to it's same chosen spot.

By the way, some of you have comment boxes that I cannt use. I work on a Mac, and although I've tried three different browsers, I cannot leave comments.

That is cute. I always wonder why my dragonflies land in the very same spot each time after a round of catching something. But you've got two there that do it.

Diane,
Actually, there was a bit of wind, but this photo was taken under a bridge protecting the damselflies from the wind. ;-)

My first reaction was OOOH .. then I read your prose and I think they are practising for the Precision Flying Team in the All Bug Olympics! As long, that is, as they can prove they are old enough

Wonderful odd shot!

Great shot! It would be more odd if I were trying to take the picture and actually succeeded.

I wonder about the comment boxes that you can't get to. I rarely have a problem with anyone's. Could you let me know whose and I will investigate.

Oh, and the photos--way cool to get those shots of those insects and their odd behavior.
