Osprey are cool looking birds. They like to build their nest on those high poles.

Do the ospreys ever get zapped by the power lines. Here in the city we sometimes have pigeons that get electrocuted -- I guess you could call it fried squab!

Great SOOC shot!
P.S. 115 yesterday. Cool down in effect for today and tomorrow ~ 105or 106! I better drag out my sweater.

Makes you wonder where Osprey nested before power poles. MB

That's a neat shot EG. We have no Ospreys here. Wish I could find one.

We have many of those ledges for the Osprey around here too. :0) Love your sky!

If they were in this country (UK) people would be going wild about the opsreys. They only breed in very select locations here. They're fabulous birds - I love watching them dive for fish.

I guess to the osprey it's just another tree!

Looks like they got the penthouse.

Ah c'mon, you've been down to Florida again. South of Miami, on US 1, the highway looks exactly like this and there are osprey nests on many of the poles!

Nice to see Nature making use of humanity for a change instead of the other way round! Those ospreys are a great example for other wildlife to check it out! (From a safe distance of course!) Great shot!

I have no idea what ospreys are. i'll go and check. Thanks for whetting my curiosity.

I loved the photo of the road. You wanted to see over the bridge.

I love this shot - it looks like you could walk or drive right into the sky.

The nest is good, but the overall composition is very moody and provocative.

Gorgeous sky! Love the length of this photo. We have osprey in our more rural, watery areas of New Jersey.

Great shot...and I love the osprey nest!

Wow! Cool nest. And to think I knock down every swallows nest I see. (Because they dive bomb me!)

Great shot. The nest is totally neat.

I like this shot. It does a great job of showing how high the nest is and the birds in the nest are a nice bonus.

Oh this is great! Reminds me of the "crows nest" lookout post on old ships. I guess a telephone pole looks like a very tall leaf-less tree to an Osprey.

What a place for a nest! Ospreys are wonderful birds.

Now that is neat to see them!

I don't know anything about birds; however, I am simply taken with the rest of your photo. The road leading into that gorgeous sky just sucks me in! Great job! =)
