Dog Days of Summer/ My World

Seen at Gamebridge, Ontario on the Trent-Severn Waterway

The July temperatures are getting to all of us, even this poor dear pooch. He can hardly wait for the canal lock to fill so he can continue easterly along the waterway, cool breezes swirling around him. Until then, he's thinking about taking a nap.

Visit My World Tuesday  HERE to see tons of photos from around the world.

Such a beautiful dog. A bit tired though, I think he needs a nap first.
Hot days are a rare gift. One's better suck them in like free vitamins.

I had a peek at your macro damselflies. A great shot. I'm impressed by the patient you must posses ( In addition to technique and artistic skill), to get your rare pictures.

I'm happy that you are enjoying Joyce and his Dublin Odyssey.
I think you will finish the book long before me.
I am a slow traveler.

Great shot and title. I also liked your wheat harvest post but before I made it here from bloglines you had changed your post.

I agree, he's sooo cute! We also had extremely high temperatures for some weeks now and enjoy a little break at the moment!
Have a nice week ahead!

ah, my hearts a-melting. And not just from the heat ~ it's for your sweet puppy dog! What a cutie!

I think you did catch him just in the act of a big sigh and then lying down, a good idea on a hot summer's day.

Your damsel flies are rather heart-shaped aren't they?

Great shot, it definitely shows the heat. We hit 91 at my house today, the first time we hit 90 this summer (and probably the only time we will).

He may be hot, but he is cute! It's been unusually hot down here as well, but we don't have any nice waterways to provide a cooling boat ride.

Looks like he's ready for some serious fun :)

That's funny, he does look like he's had enough!

he looks impatient...must be thinking---if i can only this boat!:p

What a cutie. I think he wants to take a dip to cool off...

It does look like time for a nap. Maybe he just cooled of in the river, filled his tummy and said to himself 'Naptime'.

It is perfect here--blue skies and sunny days in the mid 70s. MB
