Jumping for Joy/ Watery Wednesday

Falling into the Talbot River, Ontario

He looked like he was trying to fly but couldn't get any lift. It was a long way down!

Swimming to shore so they could jump again

To jump and swim, three boys had ridden their bikes to the top of the bridge I was standing on. They were having a great time and were delighted I had my camera to document their bravery.

Even though I was using my telephoto lens, the boys still appeared to be a long way down.

Great shots of summer fun. That takes me back to my childhood. We used to jump off a bridge into the Neuse River on the coast, although we weren't supposed to do it. No one ever got hurt.

I wonder how cold the water was? I'd like to swim there, but I don't think I'd like to jump into the water from a great height. Too much water would go up my nose!

This looks so cool and wonderful from where I am viewing it in the southern desert of New Mexico!

Thank you for visiting my blog and I know that Sugar Loaf is famous in Canada.

A perfect summer experience. And the boy who jumped is aware that he's being photographed.

Just the thought of it makes my heart want to jump out of my chest. I'm such a chicken.

In your first photo it looks as if the boy is jumping forever. I was going to say falling but he is actively engaged. Great fun on a warm day!
I love the harvesters in your previous post. Those machines look fearsome but the people who designed them have a wonderful understanding of the requirements.

That's braver than I have ever been. I like the way you captured both shots. The first one ought to be in your local paper.
