November 2/ Nature Notes

York Regional Forest in very late October

If you are like me, you love the sound of rustling leaves. These are the leaves that remained on the trees in late...very late...October.

Please visit Michelle at Rambling Woods for more NATURE NOTES.

Re your previous comment about your leaves having spots of them: So do ours! And we have very little pollution here, so I still think it's fungus - or maybe they just have spots on them every year and we think they're supposed to look perfect!

I so love these autumn shades and would decorate my entire home with these warm fall colors. Your collection of pictures is a delightful representation of what we see here in the southwest of BC during our forest walks.

i LOVE the sound of rustling leaves and the smell of them burning. we used to rake all the leaves from our pecan trees when I was a child and since i love playing in fire, i was in charge of poking the leaves to get them to burn. now of course since the world is over populated it is illegal to burn them.

I can hear the leaves rustling (among the sounds I love best) looking at these beautiful shots.

You've captured beautiful autumn colors, and displayed them in a great collage.

Your collages are always so well done. My favorite is the walk in the woods. Reminds me of a place here in Silver River Park...except, of course, the trees are different.

Beautiful!!!

Your collage of leaves is the best fall color I've seen this year. Most of our leaves fell before they changed color.

You captured the colors that I love so warm and you can almost hear them crunch under your feet. The maples are almost all empty now leaving only the oaks..then winter....Michelle
