End of October
It's definitely looking a LOT like November here, Ontario's most overcast month. But so far, the weather has been fairly mild.
Largest block: cattail with matted fluff. I'm not sure why this is quite so matted as we haven't received much rain. Yep dull skies and little rain. Our rivers, lakes and marshes are still drier than usual.
Three smaller blocks from top to bottom: a toadstool growing in the crotch of a tree; female and male mallard swimming in shallow water; and bittersweet nightshade wilted by frost.

really like the golden color in that large blog. :)
I love how mushrooms grow on trees. Great photos as always.
Beautiful shades of autumn. I hope the rains from Sandy help raise the water levels there. We don't need it but we're going to get some too.
Those picture do have an end of year feel to them - I hope mine have a start of the year feel!

So picturesque with the ducks.
Anything RED catches my eye ... the berries are so bright it's a pity they're toxic!!
Very much a November feel, beautiful shots...and many, many thanks for your kind comment!
These weeks are really "changing weeks" in the nature.
I hope your area do not get difficulties because of Sandy storm.
Thank you for your comment on my site!
Those are really great shots--colors are awesome and so clean.
Perfect fall summary, I really like the matted cattail.
I enjoyed the autumnal colors in these photos...nice and muted and peaceful!
you have the True Fall colors.
All lovely pictures...the toadstool in the tree is charming! Great eye you have!
The composition of the toadstool is perfect. I love seeing the changes in the seasons.
At least you are at the normal times unlike some of us who suffer a lot from nature's wrath. That mushroom looks so nice at that position, i see some arrogance in it yet shy! haha.
I love the background of the cattail! Not sure what it is about it, but it really appeals to me.
Not much rain? It has been raining here every day for the past week.. but that is all Sandy did so I am grateful..love the collage...Michelle
You are so good with collages! you do them so well!
(don't know if it was correct said by me in your language, but..)
