Late-breaking news: MaryT of Work of the Poet, Ruby Tuesday and Sepia Scenes has gifted me with an award today.

Being a recipient of this award affirms that this blog invests and believes in the Proximity – nearness in space, time and relationships.

As many of you already know, Mary is fun to blog with and her memes are a hoot to play. I must admit that I never noticed how much red there is out there until I started playing Ruby Tuesday!  Sepia Scenes is more of a challenge because I try to  post photos I think might be more old-timey looking. (It's not necessary...just something I like to do.) But challenges help one grow, right? Thanks, MaryT. I appreciate that.

Love the pasture photo, so peaceful feeling. Congrats on the award from Mary. She's a great gal. Bob and I had a chance to spend the day with her and Vinny, when we were in NYC in May.

This shot reminds me of a time when I lived in Tennessee. The house was surrounded by such pastoral scenes. When sitting outside, all you could hear was the cows munching grass. Very peaceful.

You don't see skyscrapers, I don't see wide fields with cows ;)

I would love to hear Jacob moo. The rolling pastures are lovely, wouldn't it be nice just for a few days to live the slow life of a cow?

Very peaceful bucolic scene. And it's not raining! it's funny this summer with all the rain we've been getting too, we really embrace those days that are clear and sunny and try to make the most of them.
