Who would have thought when this machine was in use that it would end up as an ornament. It looks great on the lawn.

What a great use for this old machine..... I see stuff like this rotting in hedgerows and would love to be able to rescue them...

In sepia, this shot has the feel of traveling back in time.

I bet it helped feed a lot of people.

Neat antique but I would not have wanted to sit on it with a horse pulling me.

Wonderful shots, as always!

And now it should have flowers spilling out the hopper. Very nostalgic scene. MB

Nice! It looks rather forlorn!

It looks good, I love old farm tools in sepia

I've always like old farm stuff as lawn ornaments. We had a old wagon wheel - authentic - that we got at an Indian reservation in Arizona.

Hmmm. Wonder what happened to that?

I'll be some Amish still use this contraption...

Antique farm equipment is perfect for sepia -- and for lawn ornaments!

Isn't it great how we can recycle and also remember? I'll be waiting for some sepia angels! ;-)

I wonder what kind of ride you could expect while sitting on that metal seat while being pulled by a horse. A rustic tale to t ell. Maybe farmers are soft these days with air-conditioned cabs and foam seating...

I've seen a modern version spreading Miracle Grow :) Lovely photo - interesting tool - zero plastic on it!

That would have been an improvement over what we had! This makes a great sepia image.

Something a bit lonely about it. Maybe the sepia emphasises it? Still not sure whether I like sepia shots tbh. Haven't ever taken one, but I'll keep looking at yours and see if they continue to grow on me.

Wondering if you left a bit of green in the machine's holder...in any case, looks great in sepia.

Your photo is very clear and sharp! Thanks for your visit and comment. I don't think you will ever make one of those mistakes, because the people, who wrote these funny letters , were not really used to writing. I think, that I, as a foreigner, shall sooner make a funny mistake than a native speaker, but even then, not one as in these lines.

Amazing that once this was a practical contraption! And now it reigns as a garden work of art! Great photo!

What a nice sepia - I don't know if it's just that I know the grass is green or if there's still a hint of green there. It looks really cool, though!

I love how you left the grass a little green. It helps the sepia colored machine step back in time. Very nice.
