Georgian Bay/ My World

A small beach on the south side of Georgian Bay (Lake Huron)

This is proof that if you come to Ontario in July you can leave your mittens, scarf and toque at home.

Added later: Thanks, Kathy. I forgot toque is Canadian. (I think it's actually French Canadian). It's the knitted hat with no brim that so many here wear in winter.

More proof (another beach on Georgian Bay)

In spite of the heat wave, this young guy is practicing just in case a few frozen white flakes fall.

I am linking to My World.

This looks wonderful, since it's so hot here in Metro-Detroit!

Hee! Honestly, I think the humidity here is worse than in Mississippi. Everyone warned me about the humidity here, but I didn't believe it. :)
Beautiful beach shots, btw. I need to get up there. Maybe next week when the MiL is here.

Lol … shoveling sand looks like a lot more fun than shoveling snow. Yesterday finally felt like summer in my part of Canada. Looks like you’ve been experiencing a heat wave for long enough to build a beach full of sandcastles. :)

a beautiful spot to be on a bright summer day,

This could almost be on the Riviera. Lots of stuff going on on these beaches.

(I had to Google "toque." Urban Dict. tells me it's Canadian fashion!)

I hope it's a while before that young man puts his skills to work on the frozen white stuff. Thanks for proving that summer does visit Canada. The beaches look refreshing.

Family fun in the sun in Canada! Reminds me of how the beaches in Minneapolis would jam up during the summer - both days, in fact! :-)

Fun at the beach and I bet that beach is quite comfy temperature wise. :)

Funny, I thought it was an urban myth that no-one else knew what a tuque was! I would like to be by that water this week.

I want to play and be photographed in that scene!!

Better than any work day I know of.

It looks like all those people converge there, when there's still a lot of space along the shore, LOL. We don't see a lot of these scenes here because we have lots of beaches and we cannot go there only during stormy days. It's wonderful to go out when most days of the year it is cold, as in your climate.

Perfect, EG. I believe you.

It looks like a fun day at the beach...My boys had a hockey coach who was from Canada. He gave the whole team a toque that had a meaning to it...I just can't remember what it was :)

I love these scenes of summer :-)

Looks like you, too, are suffering heat wave. When I walk outside, I look like a boiled octopus. (Maybe this expression is cultural thing.) People's motion is interesting in your photos, and blue color is special as always. Stay cool, and have happy days ahead.

Beautiful summer scenes and photos. LOL, I do not like thinking about shoveling snow at all right now.

So nice to see everyone enjoying their holidays on the waterfront. Beautiful shots indeed.

Your toque is our beany, just so you know what to ask for when you visit Australia.

Hi there - great summer shots - could be Australia!

You know, as much as we all complained last winter, a little of that cold wet white stuff would go a long way right now, in just bringing some relief from the heat. But come winter, we'll long for the heat even if not the humidity.

Great beach scenes!
