What a great shot! Do they live in the wild where your live! In Norway they do not, only in captivity. I am not sure if that is allowed any more. Cute little fellow!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

He is saying "heads up--watch out for me". Super shot. MB
It is nice to see a turtle. We used to see them all the time at creeks and rivers but I have not seen one in many years.
He is really stretching that neck to capture the suns rays. Great capture. Enjoy your weekend.

He's adorable. I love watching my red-eared sliders sunbathing on the log at the swamp. They line up according to size! So cute.

That's the second turtle posted by one of my blogging friends today. It must be the season.

There is a little one out at the strip pit area, well, actually more than one, but they are very shy and slip into the water soon as the car stops.
It's amazing, they really do look painted. Great shot.
Painted turtles spend countless hours sunbathing when the water is cold and the sun warm. Good capture and excellent Camera Critter!
This little chap has such a beautiful colour to him. Looks like he's trying to get a total suntan!
