A Rule's a Rule/ Weekend Reflections

Ashburnham (Lock 20) on the Trent-Severn Waterway

I was looking westerly towards Peterborough, Ontario.  When the lock is closed, you can cross the canal via a footbridge.

It was late in the day and the light created lovely reflections of the bridge, pedestrians, dogs and, oh yes, the rules all boaters must obey while in the lock. Right-side-up or upside-down, a rule is a rule:

Turn off engine
No open flame
No smoking
Blower on

I'd like to see someone trying to do all that in a mirror-image way...

Blower on? Hmmm, I don't know what that's supposed to mean!

I like this row of double signs!

I guess we have to have rules, but I like the other reflections better. This is an excellent photo and contains beautiful weekend reflections.

Very clear, just about a mirror reflection!

Beautiful shot. I love how calm the water is in the lock, but it isn't as mirror-like further in the distance.

Lovely reflection in the canal. I had some photos from the Rideau Canal a couple of weeks ago which would of fit this meme perfectly. I entered my 'tree'mendous reflection photo today.

One sees rule signs like this all over Hong Kong and I like taking shots of them... they are usually kill-joys, like all the things you can NOT do on a beach or in a park. Now I see they're in your neck of the woods too. Great photo for bridges and reflections.
