Cornfield/Rural Thursday

Cornfield, Uxbridge

I took this photo because I love the lines in the field of cow corn and way it has been cut. I think the farmer is measuring the yield per acre.

I was surprised in the second photo to see how much was left. They must go back over it again?

Great shots,

Gill

Beautifully composed shots...it's funny, when I see the autumn fields half-harvested I always seem to see a mysterious potential.

There has been lots of activity in the fields around here. Love seeing the rural photos.

The first photo is great with the clear rows showing. I see the random path cut in the corn around here and wonder why they did it that way.

There is art everywhere we go.

Oh, I like these, too. And, it's good for the city folks to see where our plentiful food comes from and the work it takes to produce it.

Beautiful - like how the colour of the straw matches the colour of the tr5ees in the top pic.

I love how the lines in the first photo lead the eye into the photo. But those trees in the background!!! My goodness you have a gold mine!!!

Oh I love this to I have actually stopped at almost every field of corn being harvested I love it that much. I must say there is a lot of corn in my area so I am sitting more than driving. I just love watching the combine work.
I love your shots. B

Love that first shot!

I love how perfectly straight the lines are. I think it's too hilly to do that around here!

That is really an interesting shot....he looks like he's evaluating crop vs income stuff. Lovely fall pic.

I like your first shot. The colors are saturated and the lines move from the people to the convergence at the end of the field.

That is a very impressive view of the farms and the modernization methods that we probably don't really realize. Cool.

I love these, specially the first. I always love looking down long rows of anything.

The lines in that first photo are very striking, I wonder how hard it is to get it cut so perfectly.
