Viceroy

Viceroy on asters

Last Monday was a lovely day and various butterflies were busily sipping aster  nectar. I haven't seen a ton of viceroys this year but I have seen a few.

awesome butterflies. we ever see monarchs in VA. we did get a chance to see one when on our recent road trip out west. i wonder??! ( :
