Raised walkway on the way out to Georgian Bay at Collingwood
It's very rocky below this walkway and there's housing at one end for senior citizens so this fenced boardwalk - along with sturdy benches - makes this a safe way for visitors of all ages to enjoy beautiful Georgian Bay.
Santa is ready to greet you (if you arrive by boat on the Trent-Severn Waterway)
Concrete walkway on the way out to Georgian Bay at Meaford
I love the shadows here, both those on the concrete posts that make the horizontal rails look bent and the shadow on the walkway.
I am linking to Friday Fences here.
I love that first image!! The contrast between the blue sky and the almost golden trees is just perfect!!!
enjoy the lights & shadows. what an interesting Santa. ( :
Very cool- it looks distorted. Also looks like a wonderful place to sick and read a good book!
Nice photos. I like how there are lots of benches to rest on.
I like the shadows too. Nice that the walkway in the first photo has benches.
I have a weak spot for raised boardwalks. I'm attracted to them like bees to honey. :-)
Looks like a great place to a walk....and a nice view :)
Trent Severn, they call it the Severn Trent here, wonder why? love the boardwalk you just gave me an Idea as to where I need to go and take a photo.

I love that raised walkway by the water. I can imagine daydreaming there.
Your dragonfly image before this is stunning.
Looks like a walk to take regularly - you have given me traveling dreams again . . thank you.
Beautiful wooden walkways!

What is it about pathways, boardwalks etc that is so intriguing? Love your photos...have a great weekend.
Very well done. I love all of your photos.
Crisp, clear and wonderful photos, as always; and especially love the perspective. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Beautiful shots, particularly that walkway.
That first photo makes me want to go out to one of our nature preserves and just soak in the sunny day. Our first one in weeks!
Lovely shots. Great shadows, and I love how safe that top one looks.
Years ago spent a week sailing on Georgian Bay. Had a fine time. Good to see the walkways to the Bay.
i like those shadow pics and that is a great boardwalk, so us old folks can sit down when tired of walking.
The shadows in your last two photos are wonderful. You've got a good eye. I'm glad the walkway in your first photo is both helpful and beautiful.
Wonderful photos. I like the cement and steel fence and the shadows.
I think I would stop and sit on every bench (yes, ok, It'd slow me down but who cares?) and then I'd have a chat with Father Christmas.
Such a magical place to walking
What a wonderful walkway!
Beautiful play between light and shadow.
I could sit on that boardwalk for hours! Nice shots!
Those walkways look wonderful. I like the shadows on the last picture.Sometimes I think those of us who carry a camera see things which others don't.
I like the walkway in the first shot.
Love your choices for fences today.
I love the shapes from the shadows too. And those benches look really inviting.
I really like your first photo, like you say: nice and easy for everybody.
