Love the tree trunk entry, EG. I have just purchased something similar (although considerably smaller) on e-Bay for my grand-daughter.

One entry for the birds, one for the wind, and one for none! All of them very quirky!!

Great entry ideas. It's been so windy here this past week I might as well have been in a wind turbine!

I was thinking about woodpecker holes till I scrolled down to reveal that absurd but wonderful door! Three nice contrasts.

The tree "entry" -- love it! So cute!

All three excellent and unusual 'entries' EG but the whimsy of the first wins it for me :)

The tree entry is brilliant. Aren't some people so creative? I don't think I would ever come up with such ideas.

Great selection! I'd almost expect a hobbit to come out of the first one.

I missed this post yesterday and am glad I scrolled down as I love the photos. The door into the tree truck is so funny and I love the old unused door in the third photo. Your ant macro today is so nice and clear. Enjoy the weekend.

I think Winnie the Pooh would LOVE that first entry!

The first one is a hoot, but I'll have the abandoned one. I'm sure that a little DIY would do the trick.

I'm glad you didn't stop at one but I think you would win the prize for most unusual with these!
