Star in the west going down over East Gwillimbury
And nobody seemed to notice! Perhaps they were all inside getting ready to watch the evening news.

My eye goes straight to that lovely bit of red coming up over the black trees.
This is far better than anything the evening news might offer. Certainly more intelligent and thought provoking.
Beautiful red glow. I can't imagine being inside when all this glory is outside. Super shot. Look at those heavy dark clouds too. MB
I love this "fire in the sky"! Fabulous!
lovely shot...no if, ands or doubts about it!
have a wonderful day.
a kind of twilight scene by the "movie" or something like that! Breathtaking!I loved it!

Bonjour Luxembourg
To notice, one has to look. And for many of our contemporaries, the only thing they see are the numbers on their cell phones or iPods!
Love shot!
EG, this is absolutely wonderful!
Great Catch. Reminds me of a forest fire at sunset.
I fear Jacob is right. This is a scene too beautiful to miss.
that is a beautiful shot, I missed that sunset!!

The rest of The Golden Hour... :-)
That's an amazing photograph; I love the colours and the silhouettes. Would love to sit there and just stare a while!
Stunning, dramatic colors! Gorgeous shot! Fire in the sky -- that's my kind of sunset! Have a great weekend!
It took a minute to figure out that the clouds were clouds and not mountains and that the sun was the sun and not a fire in the forest!
Really gorgeous!
that is such a gorgeous vivid shade of red.
Allways one of the best pictures from you :-))
Dramatic and beautiful - the sun is in fire - want to stay up :)
Amazing colours in your summer view of the sky. Thanks for sharing with us all in Sky Watch Friday.
The final glow is fantastic. Wonderful shot!

I have never seen a sky as red as that, that is truly beautiful and I envy you the moment, wonderful shot.
Thanks for the visit, it was not ice but a twisted obelisk sculpture outside the O2 Dome in London.
Have a great weekend, wishing you many more sunsets like this!
How on earth could you fail to notice a sky like that? Stunning!
Wow, that really is the last of the last - but no less brilliant!
Absolutely breath-taking! Makes me wonder what else we miss in favor of our television and computer screens! Beautiful capture!

IT'S ON FIRE! Beautiful!
Happy SWF
Dramatic colors and clouds.
You are right - I miss most of those - preparing dinner and watching the news. You caught a gorgeous red coming from the only star that matters!
I have truly never seen a sunset like that! It's glorious and brilliant! Thanks for showing!
Awesome capture! A loss to those who missed it for the same old news.
oh my, such a beauty of a glow!
How could they miss an incredible show like that?! Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
EG: What a glorious shot and a neat sunset.
What a magnificent sunset! People miss so much by failing to pay attention and getting distracted by mundane things. Thanks so much for sharing ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
But you did noticed this last glimmers of evening sun and captured the great picture.
Have a great weekend!
This is a gorgeous sunset. If your news is anything like the news here in the U. S. there was nothing this beautiful in that broadcast.
What a glow.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
So incredible. Sad no one noticed. Glad you did and shared!
Beautiful sky picture, EG... Love it!
Hope you have had a great day.

Glorious glow!
Fantastic shot. Red glow in the sky is superb.
Beautiful color in the sky.
The red sunset reminded me of the old saying:
Red sun at night, farmer's delight,
Red sun at morning, farmers take warning.
Beautiful shot.
So lovely when the sun waves a final goodnight.
Wow! Beautiful sunset. Why watch the news when you can watch this!
The shy is burning here!!!, Well done!!
Have a nice SWF.
Greetings from NL
Hurry on sundown with such a fiery sky.
Beautiful colors of the sky, simply stunning and I would never tire watching this until it fades.
Nice looking post. Enjoyed the view. Very nice shot for SkyWatch Friday.

Never disappointed on Sky Watch day. :)
Such a spectacular photo, I love it.
That is a sunset I wouldn't want to miss!
What a beautiful sunset. I miss the sunset most evenings here in our new home, as it is blocked by trees very close to our patio. I need to go out for a walk more often at that time!
My Skywatch Friday
What an eye stopper!
