I wonder if I would have noticed this if I had seen the real thing before this picture...spending time with camera does help me to see things but I still see photos like this and wonder would I have noticed them.
I really think the black and white brings out the shapes so much better than colour - i wonder at the person who commented about apinting the dried seed heads - what would that look like? And the poppies are beautiful, too!!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

I just love it! It's such an interesting and unusual shot!
Stella...:)
A Star picture of Star shaped flowers.. from a Star with the camera.. ha!
What a magic macro! Looks like thousands propellers.
That is so cool. I had a neighbor that used to paint the dried heads a rainbow of colors. His field was pretty all summer
That is so new to me - onion that is beautiful outside the dinner plate! Wonderful stars! - great contrast - totally love it!
I love the allium, I've been taking pictures of it too, mostly macros. Very nice in b&wh.
I love the way this flower looks in black and white. It makes the star shape stand out more than in color I think.
Beautiful monachrome shot, EG...
Hope you have had a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

Very well done. Excellent.
Beautiful macro! I had forgotten that I took a similar hoto just recently too. . . I will have to look for mine now! Ü
I learned a trick about allium last week. Make a bouquet of allium, don't put them in water. Just a vase. If you put them in water, they will STINK.
Fabulous geometry in this photo!
Beautiful - an explosion of stars!
Wonderful picture!
Simply beautiful. Am constantly amazed at the beauty all around us and especially the flora when photographed in macro. Stunning.
I never thought of photographing these flower balls in b+w . . . you captured this beautifully.
