Lines of gold and green
I very much like the contrast of the yellow fields with the green.
Blackbirds are gathering - not ready to fly south yet, though.
A longer view of blackbirds
Almost like patchwork

I like lines of grass field.
Fantastic! I LOVE your RWBB in flight!!! SUPER!
SO beautiful. I really love the gold fields... and of course the red wings on the blackbirds. :)
Gorgeous shots, and I imagine at this time of year the redwings are less likely to be territorial.
Oh my gosh, I have never seen so many Re-winged blackbirds. Your photos are wonderful!
Ahhh, so beautiful. Also has the feel of fall approaching to me.
I like that first shot of the blackbirds, especially.
I saw ONE red winged blackbird a few months ago...took a crummy picture of it. Now I'm glad I didn't post it...I would have looked really dumb after seeing this post. Love the lines of green and gold. (There's a song there somewhere!)
Gorgeous! I love these green and yellow colours! Super!
Ohhhh, I am almost speechless with the beauty!!! The fields, the best ones I have ever seen! And the birds in the second picture, however did you get that shot, it is AMAZING!!!
I LOVE the second picture. Such a great action shot of those blackbirds!
I love this series and the scavenger pics too, EG! I hope those birds aren't heading south already!!
love your yellow fields with it+s wavy nature. Also like the flight image of the Blackbirds. It really shows them off. :)
The yellow and green fields are very appealing.
Had to go and get the Sibley book to see the blackbirds. They are the first Bud and I have ever seen. Were really curious to read about them. In the book the red looks so tiny, but in your shots there is lots more. These are great captures. Kudos to you. Thanks for your sweet comment on Bud’s new attempt at blogging. We too, love The Virginia Creeper name. He is definitely a VA creeper at his age but he just keep on going like the Everready Bunny :-) Happy to be back with my blogging pals.
I've been shooting some photos like this too! What a beautiful world we live in, and it's free for the taking to enjoy anytime we open our eyes, and look!
It's amazing to watch those huge flocks of blackbirds swoop in. I suppose we'll see them again soon as they migrate from your place to ours!
Nice flight shots.
I love that last pic of the fields. The gold and green is striking. The blackbirds look busy, maybe gathering leftover grain from the harvested fields.
The fields are beautiful, but so are the Blackbirds in flight.
These golden fields, and the wonderful red-winged blackbirds are just stunning!
I like these shots! The colors of the fields are so pretty and the birds are just gorgeous.
Fields of gold, wonderfully expansive.
Gorgeous rural images EG.. I had no idea the blackbirds have a vibrant red patch.
Wonderful fielsd! Love these colors! And the birds... amazing shot!
Great photo's of the fields, they look like layers of paint to me.
How totally gorgeous!
Beautiful- I love the contrast too. Super shot of the birds.
Wonderful view of the changing fields. Is fall in the air???
I like the Blackbirds too. MB

How neat to find all of those rw blackbirds in flight.
I don't think it gets much prettier than those fields!
