A nearby farm stand, bakery and store hangs squash from their apple trees in October. I think the squash are pretty ornaments, and the last time I was there the sun was shining casting lovely shadows on the squash.
I am linking to Shadow Shot Sunday 2 HERE.
Seeing that is definitely a first for me!
What a lovely idea!
Like your colored gourds.
I think that's a neat idea. They are very colourful.
You do find the most delightful things to photograph -- of course, I think it's because YOU find them -- I'm not sure how many of us can see the beauty in the everyday/ordinary things that you and your creative eye sees!! Thank you so much for sharing the colorful beauty! Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend!!!
leaf shadows on squashes remind me of leaf imprint Easter eggs.
What a grand idea. Nature decorates nature. So lovely.
Two very different squash, but in each case the light is just right in your photo!
How unusual, yet strikingly beautiful!
Yeah, I've got a squash on my living room table that I'd surely like to "hang". :-)

Decorate with it and then eat it! Perfect, EG!
Something about pumpkins and squash and such just scream, softly, Autumn.

The Turk's Turban is a lovely squash, I wish I had some hanging in my trees!

I had no idea hanging squash was a thing!
Nice idea, love the colours of squash and pumpkins, so autumnal. I wonder how long they hang there.... till the string rots and breaks?
