Columbine in my gardens this week

Various columbines have cross fertilized in my gardens and I never know exactly what a new seedling will produce for blossoms.

I transplanted some columbines from my son's garden and they have turned out to be pale pink double ones... gorgeous.

Didn't know the English name, only know the German one for some odd reason. Aren't they so graceful?

How fun is that -- your flowers are getting together and giving you surprises! Beautiful pictures -- I hope to see some columbines when we visit Colorado next month -- I think there should still be spring blooms there! Columbine is the State flower.
