B/ABC

 Elgin Park, Uxbridge, Ontario

B is for bench. Probably not comfortable (I didn't try it) but it sure is pretty!

2-letter word starting with B

This is a real word found in the Official Scrabble Dictionary, 5th addition. I'm sure some of you think BO stands for box office or body odour...and I guess it does, but that is not the meaning given in the scrabble dictionary where it's slang for friend.  No, I have never seen or heard this slang word used in a sentence, bo. (AND spell check doesn't like it either!)

Love the ornate bench but I think the scrabble dictonary is scrapping the barrel with the word BO

The bench does look nice, but probably not very practical. Don't try to understand the Scrabble words, just use them to your advantage! ;-)

Imaginative pictures to the topic. The sea and the bench is not comfortable, but certainly very decorative. Regards.

Pretty seat, must have missed seeing it at Elgin Park when we were there for the christmas lights, but it was dark so I have an excuse!

Lowell said...

That's quite a bench and I can hear it, way down here in Florida, saying "Leaf me alone!"

BO is a word? I don't think so, BO. :)

A pretty bench. Learning a new word today - BO! Lol!

I have a bo from childhood that I see occasionally. What a treat it is when I see her or other bos from that era.

May be it is uncomfortable, but it is spectacular!

Gorgeous intricate bench! It was made to be looked and admired, not to be sat in!

I love that bench! And that is a new word for me too.

Definitely just for looks

It is a pretty bench. I have no idea about the rules for scrabble, but if it allows for names, Bo is a name.

Nonnie said...

gorgeous bench! I'd have to sit down to see whether it's comfy or not.

It would certainly deter anyone thinking of sleeping on it.

That bench certainly does not look comfy, but I do like it as a decorative accent.

It might not be comfortable, but it's a cool looking bench.

I would try out that bench - besides being beautiful, there are lots of softly rounded edges so it just might be bearable after all.

Be still my heart! I wonder if Roger could/would make me a bench such as that. I love it. I should have got him to teach me to weld, but it just did not interest me.

Debbie said...

the bench is pretty so it does not have to be comfortable. it looks like it could slide off those concrete bases. i would not try it out...just photograph it!!!!

I would be looking for a cushion...

Bo is one of those words only used in scrabble, along with Jo, or xi, and xu.

That bench you found is fabulous!!

Wow! That is a beautiful bench.

The bench is very pretty. Compared to some slab benches I've seen I wonder if you can't find a semi-comfortable spot on it but it might be a challenge. The flowers don't look at all hospitable. "BO?" My dictionary says it's used as a friendly form of address to a man or boy, "Hey, bo!"

Roger Owen Green said...

Bo? Bro, yeah, and beau.
Anyway, pretty blue.
