The license plate says "yours to discover". Now I am getting curious. In Europe the diplomats are riding with CD plates.- French for Corps Diplomatique. French is the international language of diplomats, while the rest of us use English to get around the world. I've gotta come back to find out more about those plates! From Felisol
Perhaps it was a spy... or a sultan... or some equally exotic character. Do they allow diplomats immunity from parking tickets in your city, like they do in New York?
Could be practically anyone I would guess. Wouldn't the cars from foreign embassies or missions also carry Ontarian registration? You might have been driving behind the foreign minister from any country that has diplomatic relations with Canada.
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

I don't know who is in the car, but sure like the composition of this shot. BJ
?? who know, or is that nose as in the tissues?
Everytime I see the special car plates, too, I wonder who's inside. =)
My Ruby Tuesday entries are now posted in my food blog and photo blog. Hope you can drop by. Thanks!
Never thought about license plates. Great shot, who's inside?
It would have been interesting to know who was in the car. Probably a secretary out to get lunch.
:-D

I always wonder the same thing when I see those plates.
What a neat shot!My dad is from Hamilton,Ontario.
Now I will be forever wondering. lol.
HRH the Queen, of course!
Mmmmm...could you call the local police and do a trace on the plate? lol sorry too much CSI!
Nice shot though!
I don't see that many Ontarians traveling in Connecticut, but the crown stands out nicely in the middle of the plate.
Although don't some of the plates carry the tagline "Keep it Beautiful"?
They can't be big spending diplomats necessarily. It is a Toyota, not a Rolls-Royce they're driving!
Very clever catch!
I would have had to try and pass them to see if I recognized anyone. :)
Yup,me too! I always wonder who's inside the car! :) Who knows anyways! Mine is posted HERE. Happy RT!~
Interesting shot.
This is something I didn't know.
Happy Ruby Tuesday.
Bagicha Icecream Corner

Ralph,
The old plates, which some of still have on our cars (tee hee), say Keep it Beautiful. The new ones say Yours to Discover. ;-)
I love the crown on the plate, so royal looking!
Probably just one of the secretaries going for lunch!
So, do they get special privileges wht those plate? Not stopped for speeding? No parking tickets?

Some diplomat I bet! *g* Great find!
Great photo
Most of the diplomats here drive these huge Lincoln Town Cars so I appreciate the Corolla :)
Cool Shot. Maybe you should feel honnored getting so close to the higher ups. LOL.
A diplomate in a Toyota Corolla? Wonder which country he/she represent. Not one of the riches ones I guess :-)
EG, great post for Ruby Tuesday! RED is for diplomats! :)
