Y/Alphabe-Thursday

 Yellow caboose

Y is for YELLOW

This yellow caboose is a tourist attraction at a hamburger place  just south of Cottage Country on Ontario Provicial Highway 11.

Ice on yellow pine needles

A leftover photo from last December's ice storm. Let's hope we see nothing like that treacherous storm this year! Although I do admit it was fun taking photos of the aftermath.

I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE

No longer the last car on a train this is about the only place one will see a caboose any more.

Lovely yellows EG. The last one is a magical gift from Mother Nature, but no, I hope you don't get a bad ice storm this winter.

I am always looking for a nice yellow color in nature and objects when I go out. And it's really hard to find sometimes. Your images are great.

I've never seen a yellow caboose. I remember waving to the guy at the end of the train as a kid.

very cute caboose. (that sounds bad...) ;)

I love taking photos of the ice after a storm!! Sometimes I wish I could keep some of the stuff I find encased. It would make such wonderful earrings...

When I was a little kid, I loved watching trains pass by and always waited to see the caboose. This is a nice use of an old train car.

The yellow caboose is cool but the flower, frozen in ice, would be my choice.

You scared me a bit with the ice shot, EG! Love the yellows you showed today.

I've sometimes thought old cabooses would make great mobile offices. :-)

WONDERFUL post today. I love the yellow caboose, it is really pretty and well kept. Reminds me of the red one I showed at the McDonald's a few weeks ago. But yours is prettier and well cared for. OHHHH, your ice on the pine needles is a masterpiece, really! I have never seen anything like it! It looks like a golden ice flower. You really should blow it up, frame and hang it somewhere.

P.S. If I tried to snap this ice flower, I would slip and break my neck! How did you do it?

It has been so warm here in Berlin (16 degrees today), I don't even want to think about snow and ice! Hope you will have a milder winter this year. Love the yellow caboose.

Very cheery post. I love the last image, especially. We were lucky to avoid that ice storm.

Tex just cracks me up.

That caboose is a very brilliant yellow. There was a house in my town that was painted that color (brighter, actually) with blue trim. It was more than noticeable, and I think the owner did not like peoples' reactions, because a few months later it was repainted with a more tame color.

I like your Yellow Caboose, Ms. TG. Let us hope they stay in place there and not roll away.
I wanted to change the Yellow Submarine song to Yellow Airplane but I waited too long.
Our cabooses are red, maroon, and green here. The green come from Mexico, I suppose if I see a yellow one it will be from Canada.

Three nice yellow choices, EG. I don't usually associate cabooses with yellow.
