Sepia Sunset/ Sepia Scenes

Not your ordinary cottage by the lake

Actually, this is probably a year-round home...not a cottage. But even for that it's not exactly "ordinary," is it? This man's home really is a castle.

The house looks very mysterious just like a haunted house. It's probably the dramatic sky and the Sepia toning that makes the picture a story.

It looks like a castle to me.
I would love to spend some time here.
It won't hurt a bit - I'm sure! ;)

I agree this is perfect for a B&B. But of course I wanted one of this.

Nicely done with the sepia. Works so well with this subject.

The lighting here is spectacular...there's a certain time of day - doesn't happen very often - when everything is bathed in a kind of soft light...that's what's going on in this photo!

Great job!

This is a fine 'cottage', on a lovely Ontario lake. The sepia when added to the classic lines of the building seems to be perfect. A classic rendition of years bygone - the right look of yesteryear!

It is indeed a castle by the sea. I like it and it would be nice to wake up, if I was still smoking, and go out on the terrace and smoke my pipe and drink my coffee from Colombia and read my New York Times from Japan.

I love that house. I want that house. It is magnificent and the sepia tone makes it look like a house of days gone by. A Rockefeller mansion or such. MB

Love this house. Reminds me of the movie Rebecca, based on the book by Daphne DuMaurier.

Great photo and beautiful home.

I'd settle for the garden folly.
It's an old dream way back from my childhood.
Then again the whole house/garden scene is like a forgotten dream one could walk right in to.

I think I would have to do a bit of rebuilding - right on target as usual.

PS Thank you for the nice comments!
